Here’s your Q3 update from UltraSignup’s Product and Engineering team.
Progress & Upcoming Work
In our Q1 and Q2 updates, we shared our plan to implement Adyen, a new payment processor that will improve the foundation of our platform for both race directors and runners. This work is well underway and we are excited to bring it across the finish line.
We are also preparing improvements to our search experience, and plan to introduce refund protection options. Your input has helped put these at the top of our priority list.
Your Voice Is Shaping Our Work
We’re grateful for the feedback we receive from you and we use your ideas, insights, and requests to help prioritize our work.
In our last survey we asked for your preferences about product and engineering communication. Most of you want to hear about changes, new releases, and upcoming work.

Platform and UX Improvements In August, we focused a week exclusively on addressing production issues (ie. things that aren't working right)—with some great results. Here's some of what we addressed.
RD Marketing Tool: This shows where page views originate for each of your events and what sources are attributed to those page views. Find it on your event page under Tools > Marketing.
Waitlist communications with runners. Waitlist invitation emails now direct runners to contact UltraSignup support directly.
Gift cards: updated balance display.
Fee Share: updated and available.
Add-ons: Made it possible to change distance when relevant.
Public Entrants lists/Participants lists synced up and accurate.
Distance Changes for Waitlists: Improved messaging when runners change distances on a waitlisted event.
Event Renewal Dates: removed error when adding a new date on an event renewal.
We have a backlog of improvements queued up and have planned another production support focus week to keep this momentum going. Our goal is to maintain a healthy balance between bug fixes and new features, alternating focus so each gets the attention it deserves.
Refund Protection for Runners Work is underway to bring this offering to the platform soon. In our next update, we'll share more about when to expect these options to be available.
Improving Race Discovery It's very clear that improvements are needed to help runners discover races. We're queuing up a series of improvements around discoverability and search, and will share more detail about those soon.
What's Next
As we close out Q3, we’re energized by the progress we’ve made and what’s coming next. In Q4, we’ll share updates as we bring Adyen online, and continue our new cadence of cycling through production fixes. We continue to refine our roadmap and want to keep you informed and confident about where we're headed. We're excited to share each milestone with you—including Refund Protection and Race Discovery.
Reminder: Expect to hear from us regularly through our monthly newsletter, these quarterly updates from product and engineering, and occasionally when there are notable topics we want to get in front of you.
Thank you for all you do to bring runners together!
See you on the trails, The UltraSignup Product & Engineering Team
